Shehu Sani alleges that the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has neglected Daniel Joshua, a former Nigerian footballer who has been confined to bed for the past 15 years.

In a plea conveyed through Twitter, Shehu Sani, the former Kaduna Central lawmaker, has implored the newly established administration of the Kaduna State Government as well as the recently appointed leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation to extend their support and assistance to Daniel Joshua. Joshua, who formerly represented the Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles as a Nigerian International, has been confined to a bedridden state for a duration of 15 years. According to the politician, Joshua endured a spinal cord injury resulting from a car accident that transpired while he was en route to the Minna Eagles training camp, following an invitation from the Nigeria Football Federation. Sani asserted that the Niger State Government, led by Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, provided financial coverage for Joshua's treatment up to a certain point before discontinuing it. Additionally, he claimed that the NFF initially provided him with a sum of 500k but subsequently abandoned him to his own fate.
